We believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, with endless possibility’s. We’ll ensure that you get your day off to the best start possible with a fantastic selection of home cooked delights made with local, seasonal ingredients.

With a passion for good food our breakfast menu changes daily but will always include the ever popular full English. Cooked to order and served in the long room, its the best start to the day.

The Breakfast Menu

As a trained and experienced chef, Penny is excited by food and this is why the Breakfast menu changes daily with healthy options and naughty treats.

We have both savoury and sweet daily specials such as Eggs Benedict with Crisp Bacon and Avocado or Plum and Pecan Waffles with lashings of maple syrup. Of course, there are some firm favourites which are available every day such as crunchy home-made Granola, Mixed nuts in Lemon Honey to spoon over Natural Guernsey Milk Yogurt and of course, a full English breakfast including the classics: Locally dry cured bacon, succulent sausages, home baked fried bread, oven roasted tomatoes, juicy Portobello mushrooms, black pudding, and free-range eggs, made any way you like, fresh from the neighbour’s chickens. An equally delicious Vegetarian Full English is also available, with Homemade Baked Beans, Griddled Avocado, Sautéed Potatoes, Portobello Mushrooms, Oven Baked Tomatoes, and Eggs as you like them! We are happy to cater to your dietary requirements, ensuring that everyone can have a delicious breakfast! Local, sustainably sourced food

We believe in buying the best but we also believe in buying locally; we buy very locally whereever and whenever possible. We use the village shop and Somerset dairy’s for milk, butter, cream. Our neighbours in the village supply us with eggs and blueberries when in season. We grow all of our herbs in our lovely garden, as well as seasonal fruit such as rhubarb and gooseberries.
